Raising Champions For Christ
Let’s face it, Christian youths are faced with a lot of challenges these days. In a world that is increasingly sceptical about anything related to God, Christian youths are faced with either conforming or abandoning their Christian values in part or whole. Solomon encourages the young ones to “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth” (Ecclesiastes 12: 1). Which means we to need proclaim our allegiance to God in our youth, not years later when our ability to serve Christ and the amount we can achieve for Him has been diminished by the wasted years.
The Christian Youth Camp (CYC) is a multi-denominational bible-centred youth event organised by a group of passionate Youth Leaders and Pastors. The main focus of CYC is to develop young people who passionately and unashamedly love Jesus. We are passionate about investing in the lives of the younger generation and equipping them with what they need to love, serve and proclaim Christ in a thoroughly Biblical and contemporary way. The in-depth teaching of the Bible alongside fun activities will help participants to increasingly see the glory of Christ which in turn will see their love for Christ grow. They will have lots of fun and make friends who will encourage them throughout the year; for many of them, it will truly be the high point of their year.
One of the great strengths of CYC is our uncompromising commitment to teaching the Bible to young people. CYC does not patronize the young ones but assumes that they are able to stand firm in their faith and fulfil their potential amidst the ever evolving world around them. In an atmosphere of fun, deep foundations are laid to enable them grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
We aim to promote Christian values in our youths and focus them on fulfilling God’s
purpose as they journey through life. As God spoke to prophet Jeremiah in (Jeremiah
1:5) we believe that God has a plan for every youth and has given them everything
they need to fulfil it.
We aim to encourage our youths to keep their focus on Christ until Christ and to use
their individual gifts (talents) to share the gospel with their peers and thrive
regardless of what life throws at them.
